Nissan announces Z Proto

Nissan is coming up with a new model that will continue the Z-tradition, and the brand is already showing something of that sooner than expected! Nissan says on September 15 namely to present the Z Proto to the world.

In May this year, Nissan announced through a teaser video that its development rooms have been filled to the ceilings with new models. New generations of volume models such as the Qashqai will soon follow and the X-Trail is also in the pipeline. Nissan recently introduced the all-electric Ariya to the world, but there’s more! For example, the brand announced that it will finally come up with a successor to the current 370Z, a car that with its birth year 2009 is one of the oldest models of the moment. The brand was still tight-lipped about the car itself, until today!

Nissan has announced with a new teaser video that it will present the Z Proto to the world later this month – on September 15. Most likely ‘Proto’ stands for prototype and that would mean that the brand has a fairly production-ready looking version of the final production model behind the scenes. Little is known about this newcomer. There are rumors that the new Z model is a thorough development of the current 370Z. The car will most likely get a V6 under the hood again. This six-cylinder is possibly the same machine as the 400 hp V6 that sister brand Infiniti scoops into top versions of the Q50 and Q60. For now, we are still in the dark on a technical level, but that may change later this month!
