The Porsche Macan is now six years old, but will not be retired yet. The smallest SUV from Porsche will soon be facelifted for a second time.
Porsche put the Macan presented in 2014 on the cutting table two years ago. That the little brother of the Cayenne still has to come along, is clear from these brand new spy photos. The Porsche Macan on these plates has camouflage stickers here and there and that seems to mean that the Macan will soon be under the knife for a second time. There is a clear reason for this.
Porsche is working hard behind the scenes on a completely new Macan. That second generation will get purely electric powertrains. That electric Macan will be placed on the PPE platform, which is not identical to that of the Taycan (J1 platform). It will be on the market in 2022, but it will not be the only Macan on the Porsche price list. The current model will be in a refreshed form next to the new electric Macan.
What does the second refresh entail? Porsche seems to adjust the bumper work and the lighting around slightly. The facelift that Porsche implemented on the SUV in 2018 was more to the body. In the interior we expect, among other things, new infotainment. The revised Porsche Macan will be on the market next year.
