Subaru Forester gets a facelift

The Subaru Forester awaits a facelift soon. This is evident from these photos that were shot in the United States. The changes seem to be largely limited to the Forester front.

The current Subaru Forester has been running since 2018. Not terribly long, therefore, but long enough for Subaru to take the design under a magnifying glass again. The rear apparently still satisfies the designers, but there is room for improvement at the front. There, everything is still packed in camouflage material in such a way that a fairly substantial change can be expected. You can count on the Forester to have a modified front bumper, a somewhat bolder grille with honeycomb structure in it and sharper headlights. Although it is of course not yet visible, there may also be an upholstery through the interior. Who knows, the hefty new infotainment screen of the new Levorg may also find its way to the Forester.

It will probably take at least another year before we can encounter the renewed Forester here on the Dutch roads. After the unveiling of the Forester in 2018, we also had to wait another year for it. In terms of technology, the 2.0-liter e-Boxer is expected to remain on the menu here. Whether the renewal round also means that the Forester Sport with 1.8 turbo engine, recently introduced in Japan, also comes this way, remains to be seen. In terms of taxation, this next to the hybrid 2.0 is probably not interesting enough.
