Porsche tuner Techart is no stranger to the current Cayenne. The breeder offers various upgrades for both the Cayenne and the Cayenne Coupé. Previously, Techart had already taken care of the engine power of different variants, but the GTS was not addressed before. However, the capital gain achieved is significant.
Thanks to Techart, the Cayenne GTS gets a good portion of primal power. Thanks to the Techtronic power kit, the 4.0-liter V8 now produces 640 hp and 870 Nm of torque. The gain is 180 hp and 250 Nm of torque. That is not surprising, because the powertrain of the Cayenne GTS is in fact the same as that of the Cayenne Turbo, although Porsche has scaled back the GTS slightly to avoid cannibalism. Techart makes short work of that. The tuner can also boost the Turbo’s power, but just like the GTS, it does not exceed 640 hp. Only the maximum torque of the Turbo, at 900 Nm, is marginally more than the GTS.
Thanks to the gain in power, the Cayenne GTS suddenly thunders a full second faster to 100 km / h: he now raves that sprint in 3.8 seconds. The sprint to 200 km / h has even been reduced by five seconds to 12.5 seconds. If you dare, you can keep the gas depressed until 300 km / h on the counter. With those figures you can make life difficult for owners of a standard Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid. With the power upgrade for the Cayenne GTS, Techart has a power cure for every variant of the Cayenne. In addition, there are plenty of options to dress it optically.
