Pokémon GO second generation Pokémon confirmed

For months, there have been rumors that Niantic is working on new Pokémon for Pokémon GO. Today the big word is finally out: This week, 80 monsters from the silver and gold generations will appear to catch. These are Pokémon from the Johto region that match the Pokémon Gold and Silver games.

This of course also includes new evolutions, for which Niantic is introducing special Evolution items. You can get these by walking past Pokéstops and taking the objects there. But it doesn’t stop there. The major update adds numerous innovations to get people to play Pokémon GO again. For example, Pokémon do not all react the same when you encounter them in the wild.

It also becomes easier to select items like Berries and Pokéballs without digging through your backpack. In addition to new Pokémon, your trainer will finally get the chance to put on a new outfit. Your trainer avatar will now be able to choose from new hats, shirts, pants and other accessories.

Available for download later this week

According to Niantic, the Pokémon GO update will be released later this week. A specific date has not yet been given. So keep an eye on the App Store if you want to be the first to hit the streets again to add these 80 new critters to your Pokedex. Yesterday the rumor appeared that Niantic would also be working on the next major update. This one would add the ability to trade Pokémon with other players and also let you compete against your friends with your Pokémon team.
