Audi has shared a first teaser of a new E-tron model. The brand does not know exactly what kind of car it is, but it is probably a new electric flagship from Audi.
Audi launched a design drawing of an E-tron model into the world today, but gave no further context. According to our German sister publication Auto Bild the car in question bears the project name S21. The drawing shows a car that is low on its wheels and that in terms of proportions resembles the E-tron GT, although the study model seems to be a bit larger. Furthermore, the narrow LED strips and the large openings on either side of the closed grille are striking. The concept car is clearly recognizable as an Audi, but appears to have an even tighter design style.

Audi is expected to give more clarity about the car on the teaser at Auto Shanghai on April 19. With Mercedes-Benz unveiling the EQS today and BMW coming up with the i7 soon, it seems likely that Audi will use this opportunity to announce an electric flagship of its own. This is not yet about Project Artemis, which is only planned for 2024. Audi did indicate that it had already come up with an electric ‘halo car’, which the brand would have developed ‘in record time’. It is quite possible that that is the car on the teaser. We will probably hear in a few days whether that turns out to be the case.
