After Apple TV + and Apple Arcade, Apple would present a new service tomorrow. Apple is entering a whole new market with its own podcast service.
‘Apple podcast service unveiled on April 20’
The news comes from Peter Kafka, a journalist at Vox who uses the iOS 14.5 beta to bolster his point (via Macrumors). A screenshot shows that the Podcast app from Apple has an account button since the trial version of iOS 14.5, which now has a notification button.
Such a feature is necessary if people need to sign in with their Apple ID to purchase a paid subscription. With that, the Podcast app looks just like the Apple Music app, in which you can take out a subscription in the same way.

It’s no coincidence, then, that iOS 14.5 has now had eight betas, with a possible release in the course of the week. That would coincide nicely with the presentation of a new podcast service at tomorrow night’s Apple event.
Rumors have been circulating about a possible service from the company for months. For example, Apple is said to have already had discussions with major podcast studios and podcasts made by Apple have even been released. With this, Apple is competing with Spotify, which has been investing large amounts of money for months in buying podcasts in order to be able to offer them exclusively.
