Lucid Motors will make the crossing from the United States to Europe in the near future. The European and Dutch branch have now been registered, both in the Netherlands.
Last summer, Lucid Motors opened the Air reservation books for interested Dutch people. For the time being, the promising electric car is not available here yet, but that will probably change next year. Techzle was tipped for a registration with the Chamber of Commerce, which shows that Lucid Motors is preparing for the European sale. Both Lucid Europe and Lucid Netherlands are registered in the Netherlands, under the responsibility of the Schiphol-based investment company Zedra.
So it seems like a matter of time before Lucid announces that it can deliver the Air here, although the company previously indicated that European deliveries will start in 2022 at the earliest. As mentioned, the Air can already be reserved, with a deposit from € 300. For that amount you will be on the waiting list for the Air Pure, a 480 hp version with an expected driving range of 653 km according to the EPA standard. The range is generally higher according to the slightly more optimistic WLTP cycle. In the US, that version costs converted at € 60,000.
One step above that is the Air Touring, with 620 hp power and the same range. It has an American price of about € 73,000. The Air Grand Touring is currently the topper, which has 800 electric horsepower and, according to the EPA test, has a maximum driving range of 832 km. In the US, there is still a price of just under € 110,000 for this. In the long run, the Air Dream will also come, a version that in terms of power even kicks above 1,000 hp. If that’s still not enough, the three-engine super-fast prototype that Lucid tested in September is cause for hope.
