The Apple Store app has a small, but important update. Among other things, it is possible to check whether an iPhone is in stock at a local store.
Apple Store app renewed
The major improvement to version 4.3 of the Apple Store app is the option to use Touch ID to pay with your Apple ID. By placing your finger on the fingerprint scanner of your iPhone or iPad, you can make a payment in the Apple Store more easily and quickly. The application now also lets you use Touch ID to change your account settings.
The second improvement has to do with the stock of iPhones at the Apple Stores. If you want to purchase an iPhone at a Dutch Apple Store, you can now check from the app whether the device is in stock. Handy, because it allows you to see more clearly whether it is worthwhile to drive to the Apple Store in Amsterdam, The Hague or Haarlem. This could be important when the iPhone 7S and iPhone 8 release later this year.
Download the Apple Store app
The latest version of the application can be downloaded from the App Store. The installation requires 74.5MB of free storage space and iOS 10 or higher. The Apple Store app works on the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.
