Lamborghini Squadra Corse teases sinister ‘Huracán’

Lamborghini Squadra Corse, Lamborghini’s racing department, sends dark images and a video of a sinister newcomer into the world.

The footage, ostensibly shot in a dark pit box filled with smoke for the occasion, shows an aggressive-looking supercar in a matte camouflage print. The car appears to be based on the Huracán, Lamborghini’s smallest sporty model, but is considerably expanded compared to that car. We see wide wheel arches, striking ‘louvres’, a completely closed rear deck with a huge ‘roofscope’ and of course a gigantic rear wing. The lighting is also striking: the original Huracán units have been replaced by much smaller LED units that are recessed deep into their housing.

As if the appearance doesn’t make that clear enough, the presentation by Lamborghini Squadra Corse means that this car will never be seen on public roads legally. So it is a lambo for the track, but our knowledge does not reach much further than that at the moment. Squadra Corse is engaged in serious racing activities, but occasionally also comes up with a fierce one-off for a very demanding customer. The chance that it is also such a car in this case seems the greatest.
