The range of delivery of the electric Mercedes EQA is already being expanded considerably. The already well-known EQA 250 will be joined by an EQA 300 4Matic and an EQA 350 4Matic, variants that mainly offer more power and four-wheel drive.
With the introduction of the EQA, Mercedes already promised that the GLA-based EV would soon be joined by new variants. However, the presented EQA 250 would remain the basic version. The brand seems to keep its word, because the range is supplemented at the top.
Above the EQA 250 the EQA 300 4Matic will be placed. A compact second electric motor in this version drives the rear axle, so that the car has four-wheel drive. The power increases from 190 hp in the EQA 250 to 228 hp (168 kW) in the 300. The sprint from 0 to 100 now does not take 8.9, but only 7.7 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz EQA
Not quick enough? Then there is also the EQA 350 4Matic. Its two electric motors deliver a total power of 292 hp (215 kW), with which the standard sprint can be completed in exactly 6 seconds. The top speed of all variants is and remains 160 km / h.
Same battery
The battery capacity and charging speeds are also not tinkered with. That means 66.5 kWh and a range that is well comparable to that of the EQA 250. There are, however, small differences in that area, which, strangely enough, turn out in favor of the thickest variant. The EQA 300 can travel 400 to 424 km on the WLTP cycle and the EQA 350 can theoretically cover 409-430 km. For the previously known 250, Mercedes gives a WLTP range of 426 km, so expect minimal differences in practice.
Prices
The EQA 300 4Matic costs a minimum of € 55,985 in the Netherlands, with a tax value of € 54,995. This makes the price difference with the EQA 250 more than four thousand euros. Mercedes-Benz Netherlands charges a minimum of € 58,985 for the EQA 350 4Matic. As with the 250 and many other electric cars, Mercedes uses a fairly clear price list by German standards, whereby an already fairly complete standard equipment can be supplemented with packages. The endless stripes and ticks in an endless list of individual options is therefore no longer possible with this EV.
