Renault Sport turns into Alpine and an era comes to an end. Over the years, the sporting division of Renault has given us a lot of beauty. Time to take a look at what’s for sale second-hand.
Renault Twingo RS (2010)
We start modestly. Although, modest, with its 133 hp 1.6, this Twingo is fast enough! The small French tear nose spears from a standstill in 8.7 seconds to 100 km / h and continues to 200 km / h. Can you imagine 200 km / h in a Twingo? This copy from 2010 is also executed exactly as you want it, like Gordini. Blue with white stripes, completely historical. It is available at a brand dealer for € 6,945.
Renault Mégane RS (2005)
Would you rather have a little more car underneath you at those speeds, but should it still not be too expensive? Then this Mégane RS from 2005 might be interesting. That generation Mégane, especially the pre-facelift, is certainly not known for its bulletproof reliability, but sometimes you may have to take a gamble. You bet that he can put a smile on your face. The blown 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 225 hp, which is enough to shoot up to 100 km / h with the Megane in 6.5 seconds. It also has a significantly longer breath than the Twingo above, because only at 236 km / h the stretch is gone. For € 7,750 this is in your driveway.
Renault Clio RS (2015)
This Clio RS is no less than ten years newer but also twice as expensive. Of course you can get a Clio RS of that generation for a little less, but this one deserves some extra attention because of its Monaco GP version. With the red wheels and accents, it is in any case not to be missed that you are driving a special Clio. Otherwise, it may prove further at the traffic light, because with its 200 hp 1.6, it is almost as fast as the aforementioned Mégane RS. In 6.7 seconds you sprint with green light to 100 km / h and at 230 km / h the acceleration stops. It should cost € 14,950.
Renault Mégane RS (2012)
If it costs a little more, take a look at a Mégane RS of the previous generation. They still cost enough, but you get a lot of car for your money. This example from 2014, for example, only has 45,000 on the counter and costs € 23,900. The white makes it a bit more anonymous than if you choose a blue or yellow, for example. Still, it is not to be missed as a creation of Renault Sport and especially when you kick the gas you know that work has been done in Les Ulis. With 265 hp, this is the strongest car that has passed this list so far and you will notice that: 0-100 km / h takes only 6 seconds and it continues to 254 km / h. Go ahead!
Renault Clio V6 (2001)
Forget what it costs for a while, but the ultimate creation of Renault Sport is, in the eyes of many, the Clio V6. Only a handful are for sale at the moment. We spot one that is already moving towards a ton, but for now we take a slightly more ‘modest’ priced copy. This gray from 2001 costs € 59,945. It can be cheaper, but it has a good mileage for its price. It has only completed 21,655 km. Miles that were undoubtedly a great experience for the previous owners. The grumbling 225 hp 3.0 V6 behind you literally gives you a hefty punch in the back when you press the accelerator. Nevertheless, it is not the fastest in this list, with its 0-100 km / h sprint of 6.4 seconds and top speed of 230 km / h, but it is the coolest, right?
