We all know it: you’re in the store or you’re in the car and that one song comes along. That song that you really like but that you always forget the name of as soon as you want to look it up at home. Fortunately, this no longer has to be a painful struggle. Looking up numbers with Shazam makes this very easy!
First download the Shazam app google play or in the App Store. The rest is actually quite self-explanatory. You must first give the app permission to use your microphone so that it can recognize music.
Then simply press the Shazam button and the app will automatically start listening to the music that is playing. So if you are in a noisy environment, it pays to get a little closer to the box so that the app can recognize the song.
The app then not only gives you the name of the song, but can also show you the lyrics so that you can sing along immediately. Other information you can find in the app is the accompanying videos of the song and other songs created by that same artist.
Recognize songs with Google Assistant
If you have an Android smartphone, your Google Assistant is also a very good option to recognize songs. To do this, simply hold down your home button to activate the assistant and ask ‘which song is this?’. From that moment on, the assistant will listen.
The special thing about the Google Assistant, however, is that the song itself does not necessarily have to be played. You can also sing or even hum it yourself. So that’s ideal if you only know a short part of a song, but it drives you crazy all day because you don’t know the rest.
