Only three-cylinder turbo engines available

Skoda Fabia 2022
The new Skoda Fabia is coming. With, as promised, economical petrol engines. Skoda now provides more information about this.
In November we expect the new generation Skoda Fabia at the dealers. Earlier, the Czech brand announced the start of sales with 1.0 TSI turbo petrol engines. Today the brand announces that the Fabia will only be available with this power source. It is a further developed ‘Evo’ variant of the 1.0 TSI in 95 and 110 hp versions.
The engine has three cylinders and direct fuel injection. Both variants meet Euro 6d emissions standards. Compared to the original TSI, the two have lower internal resistance and superior cooling. Better performance can be achieved with this, but the Evo variant is especially cleaner and more economical.
The 1.0 TSI of 95 hp comes standard with a manual gearbox. The 110 hp version comes with the seven-speed DSG transmission that has a dual clutch. Prices will follow.
