How to split your screen on your MacBook

In Windows 10, drag windows to the left or right side of the screen to have them open side by side. Ideal for when you need to multitask. On a MacBook, you can also split the screen. We explain how you do that in this article.

You can also use two apps at the same time on an iPad via Split View. Open an app and swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring up the dock. Then drag an app you want to use next to it to the left or right side of the screen and you can use the apps right next to each other. To turn a Split View into a Slide Over, swipe down from the top of the app. The Slide Over feature allows you to slide one app in front of another instead of putting them side by side.
