Google and Ring are transforming their Halloween-themed video doorbells. That is, your doorbell works with special Halloween ringtones. Ring goes one step further with a Halloween front panel for your doorbell.
Halloween video doorbells
A lot of people have bought video doorbells in the last few months, and both Google and Ring want to treat their users with a special Halloween theme for their video doorbells. From October 1 to November 1, you will find special Halloween ringtones for the Nest Doorbell. You can turn them on from the settings in the Google Home app.
At Ring they go one step further, because in addition to special sounds, you will also be able to give standard answers in theme with the push of a button, at least in English. For example, you can say that you are coming, but that they can already park their broom. Ring also sells an accessory in its webshop: a Halloween Front Panel that you attach to your doorbell.
Questions for the Assistant
Google has also already revealed special creepy questions that you can ask the Assistant. Currently, it only concerns questions for users who have set the English language in the Google Assistant. For example, they can ask Google to tell a horror story. You can ask all possible questions find here. Whether there will also be special functions for smart speakers for the Dutch Assistant this year remains to be seen. Last year we also received creepy figures from Google that we could awaken in 3D in the house.
Google introduced the new Nest Doorbell this summer and Ring released its new Video Doorbell 4 in April. What creepy things might Google be planning around Halloween in the coming month? Maybe they are going to launch a new messaging app? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of this article.
