Password, fingerprint lock, nothing is too much trouble when it comes to preserving the integrity of your data. But what if you could also clearly identify who tried to enter your smartphone, and when?
Lockwatch is a free application that triggers the sending of a notification and activates its alert devices as soon as an incorrect unlock password is entered. You are immediately notified and can even receive a photo of the offender in your email inbox!
1. Configure protection
Go to the Android Play Store, then install and open Lockwatch. Once on the tab General, tap the command Set a lock screen. You then switch to the pane Security from Settings from Android. Set a PIN or lock pattern, then return to LockWatch. Then activate the command Send an alert email.

So every time someone tries to unlock your device using the wrong passcode, you will receive an alert. By default, these notifications arrive in the inbox of the Google account associated with the phone. However, you can use another email address if you wish.
2. Photograph and record the curious
If you opt for the Premium version of Lockwatch (4.79 €), you get additional options. In the event of an attempt to unlock, the alert email can thus be accompanied by photos of the “robber”. The application automatically activates the photo sensor located above the screen and triggers the shooting. Check the Soundtrack option if you want Lockwatch to record what is said at the time of the break-in attempt.

The audio file will also be emailed to you as an attachment, along with the mobile’s GPS coordinates at the time of the unlock attempt.
