Sharing files in Google Drive is easy to do, but is more difficult to delete because the function is not directly accessible.
Google’s cloud file storage has a share feature to give other users access to a file, or even create a share link. For example, this is useful for creating a Happy New Year video, storing it on Google Drive, and allowing friends to view it. If the creation of a share is very simple, by right-clicking on the file, its deletion is more difficult. Here’s how to do it.
- Launch your browser and connect to Google Drive (drive.google.com). In the My Drive window, you can see which files are shared because they have a small icon after their name showing the silhouette of two people.

- Right click on the file you are interested in and click on To share in the context menu.

- Then click on the word Advanced at the bottom right.

- If the file is shared with other users, a list appears. To delete a person, click on the X in front of their name. Click on the button Save Changes, then on the button OK.

- If this is a “public” share link that you generated, for example for a video, click on To modify.

- Then click on Deactivated in the Sharing options, then on the button Save.

- Finally click on the button OK to close the window.
