Thanks to Windows File Explorer, you can easily assign keywords to your photos to facilitate your searches.
Are you going to stock up on photos on vacation? Then you have to organize them on your computer. In Windows 10, you have the option to batch rename them, but you can go further by adding keywords in the header of the Jpeg file, as one of our readers told us.
To do this, start the file explorer using the
- Select the photo or photos you want to process. In the details pane, located on the right, locate the section Key words and click on Add a keyword.
- You can then add multiple keywords which are automatically separated by a semicolon. Confirm with the key
or click on the button Save to complete the operation.
- To search for photos with certain keywords, use the keystroke
+ to position yourself in the search area and display the menu Research at the top of the window. - Click on Other properties then on Key words from the drop-down list. Then type the keyword (s) in the search box, after the mention key words: .
- If you have multiple keywords, use a semicolon to separate them (click on the image below to enlarge).
The photos that have the keywords then appear in the results list.
