If your PC has several hard disks, their load must be well distributed so as not to strain a single socket of the power supply unit. Here’s how to do it.
Tower type PCs generally have many internal slots and it is possible to install four hard drives without any problem to have a large storage space. However, we recommend that you pay attention to the electrical load as even good quality power supplies may have problems handling a high load on the same outlet.
We therefore recommend that you use multiple power cables and do not plug more than two drives into the same outlet on the power supply. Granted, there will be additional cables in your case but this is preferable for electrical stability. So do not exceed the two hard disks by electrical cable, unless you no longer have a Sata socket available on the power supply unit.
