At a press conference, Audi’s CEO Bram Schot hints at what’s on the agenda for this year. Among other things, a Q5 Sportback is coming!
Anyone who no longer sees the forest among all SUVs can wet their chest. Shot confirms the arrival of the Q5 Sportback. The car is one of the twenty new models with which Audi is coming this year. Although no footage of the newcomer is shown, the recipe seems obvious. They take a regular Q5 and let the roofline slant halfway down like a coupe-like. Audi previously did this with models such as the Q3, E-tron and partly with the Q7 / Q8.
In addition to the Q5 Sportback, the facelift of the compact Q2 is also announced. Audi introduced the Q2 about four years ago. In the corridors there is talk of one electric version of the Q2, but Schot does not mention this at all. Another model of the twenty new cars is of course the newly presented A3 Sportback. During the presentation, it was also announced that Audi recorded an operating profit of 4.5 billion in 2019.
