Microsoft Teams is a standard application of Windows 11. Although many people (gratefully) use it, we can also imagine that you would rather get rid of that program than be rich. In this article we explain how to do that.
For example, you can start by hiding the associated icon. That’s a purple icon with a camera in it. Right click on the taskbar and select the option for Institutions. Go to Personalization options and click on the toolbar options. There you will see the same icon, with a slider on the side. That controller is now blue. Make it white by clicking on it. This removes the icon from the taskbar of Windows 11.
Prevent Microsoft Teams from starting
Another option is to prevent Microsoft Teams from starting automatically when you turn on your computer or laptop. You open the settings for this using the button combination Windows key + i. Otherwise, right-click on the taskbar and select the option Institutions. Now go to your application in the menu on the left and press the option for . in the next window Startup apps. Find the Microsoft Teams program in this list and set the slider to from. You can now also disable Microsoft Teams by right-clicking on the Teams icon in the taskbar. There is the option to disable it. Now the program only turns on when you choose it yourself and when you perform that action manually.

Remove Microsoft Teams completely, but…
Fortunately, you can also completely remove Microsoft Teams if you want. Open Windows 11 settings, click apps and select the top option on the right. Now scroll to the list of apps. Find Microsoft Teams in this list and click on the three vertical dots on the right. Now a small menu will appear with the option to delete. The app asks if you are sure. In a pop-up window, you must confirm your choice again by clicking the delete button. The app will disappear from the list within a few seconds.
Keep in mind that Microsoft Teams is not completely gone from your system. Microsoft sees the program as an essential part of the Windows 11 experience. This program is also directly linked to how the chat bubble in the taskbar works. When you click on that icon, Microsoft Teams will install itself again. To prevent this, it is therefore best to remove the icon from the taskbar – then it will not just return.
