The Aston Martin Valhalla is the first model to use a new 3.0-liter V6 engine developed in-house. The new sports car will hit the market in 2022.

For the first time in over 50 years, Aston Martin is developing its own engine again. It is a 3.0 V6 engine, which is combined with plug-in hybrid technology. The combined output will be the highest in Aston Martin’s regular range in 2022, when the Valhalla becomes available.

The new engine is available with different types of electrical support. The most powerful composition will be applied in Valhalla, later Aston Martin will develop a “custom” power version for each model.

The V6 engine has been developed to meet the future Euro 7 exhaust gas standard and weighs less than 200 kilograms. In the Valhalla, the block is placed behind the driver and it is designed so that the center of gravity in the car is as low as possible.
