Connect Mac to Wi-Fi network
Almost everyone has a WiFi connection at home, a wireless internet connection. As a result, cables are no longer necessary to connect a computer to the internet. You do need the password for the internet connection. You received this from the internet provider. Connect to Wi-Fi on Mac (as of 10.13. High Sierra) in the following way:
- At the top right of the menu bar, click the dashes icon or the slice of pie .
- If Wi-Fi is turned off, click Turn on Wi-Fi and then click the dashes icon again.
- A list of all nearby Wi-Fi networks appears. Click on your network.
- Enter the corresponding password and click Connect.
Is the Wi-Fi network icon not in the menu bar? Then perform the following steps:
- Click on the Apple logo in the top left .
- click on System Preferences.
- click on Network.
- Click on the left Wi-Fi.
- Put a tick in front of Show wifi status in menu bar.
- Close the window via the ball with cross in the top left of the window.
