The extravagantly designed new Kia Sportage has already been put on the Dutch price list a month after its European debut. The new Sportage has a starting price of €34,895 and will be available at dealers from mid-December.
Kia’s distinct design path does not bypass the new Sportage, so the new fifth-generation SUV is also a striking appearance from every angle. The always electrified Sportage will be at dealers from mid-December and we can already tell you what the new SUV should cost.
Mild-hybrid
The starting price of the new Kia Sportage is €34,895 and therefore it does not remain below 35 mille. For that amount, Kia puts the keys in the hands of the Sportage with 150 hp mild-hybrid 1.6 T-GDI powertrain. The starting price applies to the ComfortLine entry-level version. You can also order the Sportage with mild-hybrid powertrain as DynamicLine, for that richer-equipped taste you will lose €36,895. The mild-hybrid Sportage always has a six-speed manual transmission.
Hybrid
Kia also supplies the new Sportage with a full hybrid powertrain. That 230 hp strong and just like the mild-hybrid Sportage front-wheel drive powertrain can be combined with the versions DynamicLine, DynamicPlusLine and the sportier GT-Line and GT-PlusLine. For the Kia Sportage 1.6 T-GDI Hybrid you will lose at least €39,895. The Sportage Hybrid always has a six-speed automatic transmission.
Plug-in Hybrid
The new Kia Sportage is the first generation of the model to also come with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. In that case, your right foot has a system power of 265 hp and 350 Nm. The battery pack of this plug-in version has a capacity of 13.8 kWh. The electric range is not yet known. The Hyundai Tucson PHEV, which has the same powertrain, squeezes 62 kilometers from its battery pack. Like the Sportage Hybrid, Kia supplies the Sportage Plug-in Hybrid in the versions DynamicLine, DynamicPlusLine, GT-Line and GT-PlusLine. The starting price is €42,095. The plug-in hybrid Sportage always has four-wheel drive and, like the Sportage Hybrid, has a six-speed automatic transmission.

Equipment
In the basic ComfortLine version, the Sportage already has 17-inch light-alloy wheels, a reversing camera, electrically adjustable, folding and heated door mirrors, intelligent traffic sign recognition and even the semi-autonomous lane-keeping system is standard. Version DynamicLine, the basic version of the Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid, adds a 12.3-inch large digital instrumentation and a 12.3-inch large multimedia screen, which are housed together in a curved screen. The DynamicLine has standard climate control over three zones, parking sensors all around and automatic window changes and lighting. If you order the Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid as ComfortLine, you will receive Smart Cruise Control as an extra. The plug Sportage is as ComfortLine on 17-inch light metal. The higher-positioned DynamicPlusLine adds matrix LED headlights, heated seats at the front and rear, a glass sliding and tilting roof, smart entry, an electrically opening and closing tailgate, electrically adjustable front seats, mood lighting and various additional safety systems to the Sportage party.
The GT-Line version combines the equipment of the DynamicPlusLine with, among other things, sportier-looking bumper work, special light metal, a D-shaped steering wheel, suede leather-look upholstery and aluminum pedals. The GT-PlusLine rolls over there with things such as extensively electrically adjustable and cool front seats, a 360-degree camera, an adaptive chassis and an audio system from Harman Kardon.
