Google reveals its 13 favorite extensions for the Chrome browser on desktops. Included in the selection is a handy screen recorder, a tool that helps to create good English sentences and an extension to link voice recordings to documents.
13 Best Extensions of 2021
It is the month of December, which means that it is now a high day for annual overviews. In a blog post Google is now sharing a selection of its 13 favorite Chrome extensions from 2021. Extensions are small utilities that work in your browser on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, and Linux. We’ll give you some extra explanations for three of Google’s favorite extensions and then you’ll see the complete list.
Improve your English sentences
First of all there is Wordune: an extension that is useful for those who often send e-mail in English. You can enable the tool so that it helps to formulate better sentences. Wordune helps to apply a more varied English writing style and the extension can also help to translate.

Useful Screenshots
loom is an extension that we also use on the Androidworld editorial staff, because this tool really helps when you collaborate with colleagues from a distance. With the push of a button you can make a short screen video that you can share with your colleagues thanks to a handy link. Sometimes it’s easier to explain a problem just by showing it, and a simple screenshot isn’t enough for all circumstances.
Link voice recordings to documents
Google is also a fan of mote. That is a tool that integrates with Google Docs, Gmail and Spreadsheets, among others. You can make voice recordings with Mote and link your feedback to an email or document. You can also make those recordings outside of Google’s tools and you can then link a voice recording to a QR code.
