iPhone: this is how you turn your keyboard into a trackpad

Typing messages into an iPhone is easy with the simple keyboard. Still, sometimes you prefer a trackpad. That’s how you use the latter!

Our phone is the gadget we use the most. It is therefore nice when it works wonderfully smoothly. In iOS 15, some adjustments have been added that make it even easier to use. For example, there is finally the magnifying glass in it, making it easier to see where you place your cursor. However, there is a much easier way to move the arrow: the trackpad.

A trackpad on your iPhone

If you normally see a typo, or want to change something in the text, it can sometimes be quite annoying to select the right place. You press wrongly or you cannot see where you put an arrow. However, there’s a trick hidden in your iPhone’s keyboard that makes it all easier. Once you know these you will never use the old way of changing a word again.

The trick to turn your iPhone’s keyboard into a trackpad is very simple. To use it, you have to hold down the space key while typing. When you do that, all letters disappear from the keyboard and you can easily swipe the cursor to the place where you want to apply a change.

New functions

Of course iOS 15 has many more great functions for your iPhone. Version 15.2 will be released soon and a number of new features will be launched. For example, from that version it is possible to set up your Digital Legacy. It is possible for users to set up a contact person who will have access to personal information if the user dies.

In addition, with this version it is possible to use the Apple Music Voice subscription, where you can operate the streaming service with Siri. From the new version it is also possible to see what information apps collect and how often they do this. That feature is called the App Privacy Report.
