Electric Mercedes-Benz EQV as a motorhome

Electric Mercedes-Benz EQV as a motorhome

Mercedes-Benz has had motorhomes based on the V-Class and the Vito in its range for some time now: the Marco Polo and Marco Polo Activity. The EQV, the electrical equivalent of the V-class, is now also available as a motorhome.

The electric EQV is not converted into a camper van by Mercedes-Benz itself. Where the Marco Polo is built by Westfalia, the Swiss company Sortimo takes care of the conversion for the EQV. As a customer, you can choose how your motorhome will look like. Sortimo offers, among other things, a folding roof, but also a multifunctional box containing a folding bed and a kitchen unit with a sink, refrigerator and stove. On the roof are two solar panels with a total output of 400 Watts, which can be used to charge the starter battery and the battery for the camping facilities. Lightweight materials were used during the construction to minimize the impact on the range of the EQV.

Just like the regular version, the camping EQV is available in two versions: as an EQV 250 with a battery pack of 60 kWh or as an EQV 300 with a capacity of 90 kWh. With the 250 you get 213 to 236 kilometers, while the 300 is only without power after 326 to 363 kilometers. The camper is also available in two lengths: 5.14 or 5.37 meters. Mercedes-Benz does not mention the price of the conversion, but the EQV 300 already costs €73,901 in the Netherlands as standard. So you can count on the price of the motorhome exceeding the ton in euros.
