KTM has joined forces with BRABUS, the German tuning company from Bottrop that specializes in high-end supercars and yachts. The collaboration resulted in the BRABUS 1300 R, the first BRABUS motorcycle derived from the 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO.
Only 77 will be made in Bottrop of both variants of this BRABUS 1300 R, the very first motorcycle of the German tuning company and the first result of the collaboration with KTM. If you have never heard of BRABUS, since 1977 the name has been synonymous with luxury, handcrafted exclusivity and performance.
The idea behind the BRABUS 1300 R, according to the Germans, was to merge the deep-rooted identities and design styles of both KTM and BRABUS and represent the best of both brands.
The key ingredients of the BRABUS ‘Black and Bold’ design language, including two signature color schemes, BRABUS Monoblock Z forged wheels, premium carbon fiber elements and a stylish custom seat that exemplifies attention to detail, define the exceptionally unique and sporty character of the bike and provide an instant wow factor.
Experts from both brands chose the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO as the platform for the BRABUS 1300 R. As KTM’s latest evolution in performance motorcycles, this remarkable model offers the best in advanced riding experience, uncompromising ergonomics and the beating heart of the BRABUS 1300 R – a huge V-Twin engine that produces 180 hp and 140 Nm of torque from its namesake 1,301 cc.
From a technical point of view, the all-new BRABUS 1300 R uses the latest WP APEX semi-active suspension technology. This allows riders to choose between six dedicated damping modes – COMFORT, STREET, SPORT, TRACK, ADVANCED – in leisure or AUTO mode, which automatically adapts to both the road and riding conditions.
In signature BRABUS fashion, the BRABUS 1300 R retains the unmistakable ‘Black and Bold’ design identity with a collection of exclusive components. Lightweight Monoblock Z 9-spoke forged wheels, custom carbon fiber air intakes, a distinctive headlamp and a custom heated seat share unmistakable styling cues from BRABUS supercars.
To add an extra touch of unique individuality, the BRABUS 1300 R is offered in just two signature color schemes: MAGMA RED and SIGNATURE BLACK. Only 77 of each variant will go into production, with the number 77 indicating the year BRABUS was founded.
The BRABUS 1300 R will be available exclusively through the KTM website. Pre-orders start on Monday, February 14 at 3:00 PM CET.
