Renault has put the renewed Espace on the Dutch price lists. The still special combination of a crossover and an MPV is available in two flavors.
In November last year, the Espace underwent a facelift that put the attentive viewer to the test. The novelties were mainly in the details. The Espace received slightly modified headlights and minor changes were also made in the front bumper. We are now a few months further, but now the renewed Espace is also on the price lists.
The renewed Espace is currently available with only one power source: the 225 hp blown 1.8. This four-cylinder petrol engine, designated as TCe 225 ‘, is in all cases linked to a seven-speed automatic transmission with double clutch. The almost 4.9-meter-long Frenchman knows how to sprint to a speed of 100 km / h in 7.9 seconds. Its top speed: 224 km / h. Those who do not try to approach such values should be able to score an average combined consumption of 7.6 l / 100 km. That is for the Espace with five seats, because there is also a variant with seven seats available. The latter is slightly thirsty with an average consumption of 7.8 l / 100 km. This of course has to do with the higher weight of the seven-seater Espace. After all, this variant weighs 1,654 kilos, while the five-seater weighs 1,608.
Renault currently only supplies the Espace as a luxurious Initiale Paris. The five-seater changes owner from € 64,590. If you want the seven-seat variant, you have to put an extra € 2,000 out of your pocket.
