The previous generation Skoda Fabia had to do without a muscular RS version and it remains to be seen whether the new Fabia will have such a sports version. However, there will be another sporty version that listens to the name Monte Carlo. It is that Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo that has now been introduced to the light of day.

Skoda introduces the new Fabia to the Monte Carlo version, a sporty taste that has existed in Fabia country since 2011. You do not have to count on extra muscle power, the Fabia Monte Carlo will be available on the international market with both the 80 hp turbo-less MPI and the 95 hp and 110 hp 1.0 TSIs and the 150 hp 1.5 TSI.

The Monte Carlo version is therefore primarily an optical feast. From the outside, the Fabia Monte Carlo is overloaded with black details. We encounter the black accents in the grille, on the side mirror caps, on the side skirts and in the modified front and rear bumpers. Skoda also brings wheels decorated with black details to the model. Wheels are available in 16-, 17- and 18-inch sizes. Of course, a bunch of Monte Carlo badges can’t be missed. Brand name Skoda is on the tailgate of the Fabia – you guessed it – in black.

The Monte Carlo theme is also continued in the interior. The Fabia Monte Carlo has sports seats with integrated headrests, a three-spoke sports steering wheel, pedals that look like they are made of stainless steel and an extensive range of red accents. Here and there Skoda places decorative strips with carbonlook and things like the handbrake lever and steering wheel are covered in leather. LED mood lighting is standard.

The previous generation Skoda Fabia was also delivered in Monte Carlo trim in the Netherlands. It is not yet known whether and when the new Fabia Monte Carlo will come to the Netherlands.
