The fire on board the freighter Felicity Ace, carrying a huge load of expensive cars from Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini, has all but been extinguished. It is feared that all the cars have been lost.
Last week, a fire broke out aboard the Felicity Ace, which was en route to the United States in the Atlantic Ocean near the Azores. The crew was taken from the ship and for days the ship drifted helplessly and burning. The fire is now almost out, a local harbor master explains according to the Portuguese lusaâ€
According to the harbor master, the extinction of the fire is due to the ‘run out of combustible material’. That is also a bad sign for the cargo, about 4,000 cars of the Volkswagen Group. The cargo consists largely of cars from Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini and it is likely that all of the cars were lost.
