There’s an iPhone SE 2022 on the way, that’s one thing that’s almost certain. According to Apple expert Mark Gurman, the iPhone SE 2020 should therefore become cheaper and cost 200 euros.
iPhone SE 2020 cheaper: 200 euros
That’s what Mark Gurman says in his most recent newsletter. He believes that Apple should continue to offer the iPhone SE 2020, even though the iPhone SE 2022 will appear soon. The price of the iPhone SE 2020 should then be around 200 euros. This price would therefore be good for areas such as South America and India, where the cheaper Android phones do very well.
Apple has never sold an iPhone with a price of 200 euros before. The iPhone SE is Apple’s cheapest iPhone and has a suggested retail price of 489 euros. According to Gurman, Apple could make the iPhone SE 2020 cheaper, as long as the price of the raw materials and parts does not become too high.
An iPhone SE that is a lot cheaper would also be a good reason for Apple to replace the outdated iPod touch. It hasn’t been updated since 2019. The iPod touch uses the A10 Fusion Chip that is also in the iPhone 7.
iPhone SE 2022 is coming
So we have to wait for the iPhone SE 2022, because that would be the perfect time to put the iPhone SE 2020 on the market more cheaply. The new iPhone SE 2022 does get a few improvements.
The new device will have a faster processor than its predecessor, the iPhone SE 2020. This will probably be the A15 Bionic that you will also find in the iPhone 13. The iPhone SE 2020 has an A13 chip, which is also in the iPhone 11.
One of the other differences between the iPhone SE 2022 and the previous version is the support for 5G. The advantage of 5G is currently limited, but using the internet with 5G is often faster. The current iPhone 2020 SE only supports 4G.
