The social network is testing a section dedicated to the history of videos watched. But there is already a solution that allows you to view your viewing history.
TikTok is such a fascinating and time-consuming platform. There are videos of all kinds, touching on an immensity of subjects, which we often end up devouring without even realizing it. But faced with the incredible amount of content viewed, it remains quite difficult to remember all the videos viewed.
If it is possible to like or add to your favorites the ones you like the most to find them easily, the ones you instinctively scroll through end up forgotten in the immeasurable flow of videos published by the millions of creators on the social network. And there are undoubtedly videos that caught your eye, but you didn’t think to like or add to your favorites.
Finding content you’ve already viewed by typing keywords into the app’s search engine can be like searching for a needle in a haystack. This is probably the reason why TikTok is testing a new feature that would allow access to a history of the videos you have watched.
While waiting for the platform to finalize this new function, there is a very simple, but extremely well hidden manipulation to display your viewing history.

1. Go to the Discover tab
Whether you use TikTok on Android or iOS, the handling is identical. Open TikTok on your smartphone and go to the Discover tab.

2. Run a request
In the search field displayed at the top of the screen, enter an asterisk (a small star) and validate your request.

3. Change filters
Now press the filters button displayed at the top right of the screen. In the pane that expands, enable the Watched videos option and press Apply.

4. Check your viewing history
TikTok should then display a list of videos you’ve already watched.

Please note, however, that this list of content already watched in the last seven days cannot be sorted. You will therefore have to scroll through the results to find the already watched video you are looking for.
