Do you like to share photos with your friends and family? Then we have good news for you! In iOS 16 you can easily share a photo album with iCloud. Then everyone has immediate access to the shared photos.
Sharing Photos with iCloud: Easier in iOS 16
Apple has crammed a lot of new features into iOS 16. Something will also change in the ‘Photos’ app. It becomes easier to share photos with your friends and family with iCloud. “That is already possible”, you may think. But this is not the same as sharing a photo album, which you can already do on your iPhone and iPad.
When you go on vacation with friends or family, you naturally want to give everyone the photos you take. In iOS 16 you will soon be able to create a new shared album in iCloud with which you can share photos with up to five others. Anyone who has access to the shared album can add, edit, and delete photos. This way, the edits to the photos are immediately visible to everyone.
Share photos under certain conditions
Photos you share are immediately available to everyone. But you can also choose to only share photos when your friends are nearby. In addition, you have the option to use special rules to share only specific photos. For example, it is possible to only share photos with certain friends. It is also an option to only show photos from a certain time.
Instantly forward photos from the camera app
Another new feature is forwarding the photos from the Camera app. A photo you take is then immediately shared. There is a new option in the app for that.
Want to instantly share photos in iCloud with your friends? Then choose ‘Shared Library’ at the top of the app. Do you only want to put the photo in your own photo library? Then choose ‘Personal Library’.
