This is how you adjust Alt + Tab window

Perhaps you use the Alt + Tab window on a daily basis and don’t care about it. Why would you? It’s a handy feature of Windows that does its job well. But did you know you can personalize that window? That can be done in different ways.

Adjusting the Alt + Tab window can be done with built-in Windows options and through an external program. Before we cover that program, let’s look at those default options. You go to Settings > System > Multitasking (that option is on the left in the menu). On this page it is almost at the bottom of the heading Alt + Tab†

When you click on the drop-down menu, you will be presented with four options. The first three relate to how many Edge windows you want to see, while the latter indicates that you only want to see windows in the overview.

Alt + Tab Customize with Winaero Tweaker

That’s not a lot of options. If you crave more, you can download the program Winaero Tweaker to download. For example, you can tweak the transparency of the window. First you need to download and install the program. Extract the zip file and then press the .exe file named WinaeroTweaker-1.33.0.0 Setup†

You don’t have to adjust things during the installation if you don’t want to; you can just go through the steps calmly. After installing, open the program and click twice in the menu on the left Appearance†

Now select the option Alt + Tab Appearance that appears under the heading. Normally, the transparency of the Alt + Tab window is set to seventy percent. But if you move the slider in view, you can increase or decrease that number. The lower the number, the more transparent the window. Finally, we have one more option to look at.

You can also dim the background of the Alt + Tab switcher if you want. You do this by using the slider under the transparency option. When you set the slider all the way to the right, the background is completely dimmed.

Are you done setting up? Then press the combination Alt + Tab to see if you are satisfied with the result. If that is the case, you can close the program, otherwise you will have to update the settings.
