Blood fast

Polestar will greatly expand its model range over the next four years. It currently only sells the 2, but Polestar will add the 3, 4 and 5 through 2026. It doesn’t stop there, now the brand announces the Polestar 6. That will not be an electric SUV, but an electric convertible!
Polestar reports that it will launch an electric open-top model named 6 in 2026. The Polestar 6 will be the production version of the O2 Concept that the brand released in March this year. At the time, the brand did not talk about concrete production plans, but now Polestar reports that after “[…] overwhelming response from consumers and media” has decided to come up with a production model derived from the O2 Concept.
The Polestar describes the 6 itself as a convertible with hardtop and that means that the removable roof also survives the switch to the production model. It is striking that Polestar also describes the 6 as a roadster, but because the car has four seats, that is not quite right. The Polestar 6 will be built around an aluminum base that it shares in part with the upcoming Polestar 5. The Polestar 6 is definitely not going to be a childish model. Polestar promises a power of no less than 884 hp and 900 Nm, coming from two electric motors. The Polestar 6 should be able to shoot from a standstill to a speed of 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. Its top speed: 250 km/h. Like the Polestar 5, the Polestar 6 can charge quite quickly thanks to 800v volts on-board voltage.

Polestar will introduce a special introductory version of the Polestar 6 called LA Concept, a reference to the Polestar O2 Concept that debuted in Los Angeles. There will be 500 pieces available and all will be in Sky blue and have a light leather interior. You can even reserve a production spot for the Polestar 6 LA Concept. You do have to make a deposit of more than €24,000 for this. The expected starting price is converted a certain not tender €197,250.
As mentioned, the Polestar 6 will be launched in 2026. This year, Polestar is expanding its model range with the Polestar 3, an electric SUV that has not yet been unveiled but of which AutoWeek could recently report the technical specifications and even the Dutch prices. The Polestar 4 will arrive in 2024 and the Polestar 5 is planned for 2025. Incidentally, Polestar is not the only brand that comes with an electric open sportsman. MG will soon also come with an open electric two-seater. AutoWeek was also able to show you that car well before its unveiling.
