In that regard, it was totally out of line for Yamaha to seriously overhaul the popular YZF-R3 for model year 2023, the last time that happened was in 2019.
The R3 got that in addition to a completely new, insanely fat M1-like look with ‘normal’ LED headlights, in our eyes really much nicer than those projection lamps of the R1, with which Yamaha can change the bike from glorified moped to real in one fell swoop. supersport had upgraded. As far as the under-the-hood innovations were concerned, Yamaha had concentrated solely on the bicycle section, now with a serious 37mm upside down fork and aluminum triple clamp. That will not be different for model year 2023, but Yamaha has now added a third particularly beautiful color in the United States: Phantom Purple.
