Answer
No, Florence, we certainly cannot. Omniscience and omnipotence are qualities usually attributed to a divine being, but not to man. Why is it like that? Because all life processes are essentially creative, and therefore not completely predictable. For the physical world that is something else, but even there not all secrets of nature have been revealed, although there is sometimes a striving for a “unifying theory”. But biology and psychology (and other sciences that study life phenomena) are much more complex. Just think of human language again: each of us is capable of pronouncing sentences that no one else has ever uttered before. This shows the complexity and inherent unpredictability of human life. However, this should not disappoint us, on the contrary. That’s why life is so exciting! Just try to imagine what it would be like if one day we knew and could do everything. What then would be the meaning of life? What goals could you still set? None, because everything is already known and done. So live life!
