$20,000 to $25,000 less expensive
The Tesla Model S and Model X, especially thoroughly renovated in 2021, were until now only available as a crazy Plaid with three electric motors, but are now finally also available as a Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive. AutoWeek has the prices of the Tesla Model S and Model X Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive.
A year ago, Tesla brought updated versions of the Model S and Model X to the stage. The two oldest models of the Tesla family were modernized on the outside, but also received a completely new interior. Until now, those facelifted Tesla Model S and Model X were only available as more than 1,000 hp Plaid with three electric motors. Now the renewed Tesla Model S and Model X are also available as a more modest Dual-Motor All Wheel Drive.
Although, modestly… The Tesla Model S Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive still pounds in 3.2 seconds to a speed of 100 km / h and SUV brother Model X only needs 3.9 seconds for the same sprint . The top speed of both models is 250 km/h. Yes, the Plaid versions are faster with sprint times of 2.1 and 2.6 seconds, but they also get less far on a full battery. The Tesla Model S Dual-Motor All Wheel Drive has a range of 634 kilometers (Plaid: 600 kilometers). The Model X Dual-Motor All Wheel Drive kicks it to a range of 576 kilometers (Plaid: 543 kilometers).

Minor changes
Tesla immediately makes minor changes to the Model S and Model X. For example, the Tesla logo is pulled from the back and Tesla will now only write its brand name on the decorative strip between the rear lights. The yoke steering wheel that was previously standard in the Plaid versions can be replaced as an option at no extra cost by a regular round steering wheel. The Dual-Motor versions are also available with and without the stubborn Tesla steering wheel. The Model S and Model X Plaid can now also be recognized from the outside by red brake calipers, among other things.
