The bright blue sky of the past few days invites you to get the engine out of the stable, but with a degree of 4, there is a good chance that you will have ice-cold fingers in no time. That’s where they paid off at IXON, in collaboration with clim8, IXON has developed a new generation of smart winter gloves, the temperature of which can be controlled via an app.

More and more motorcycles are now equipped with heated grips as standard, but anyone who spends a lot of time on the motorcycle around this time of year knows that this falls short at really winter temperatures and that even the best winter gloves are not sufficient. The only thing that really works are heated gloves, but yes … there are also disadvantages to that.
At IXON, they have now gone a step further by developing an intelligently heated winter glove whose temperature can be controlled via an app. All you have to do is connect the gloves via Bluetooth to the specially developed clim8 app and set the desired temperature in the gloves.
When you then get on the bike, the heating is automatically activated and the temperature is automatically controlled by monitoring the temperature of your hand. According to IXON, you will no longer suffer from cold hands, even in very wintery conditions.

The intelligent chip ensures that your hands don’t get too cold, but also don’t get too hot. An additional advantage is that the battery lasts longer, the only question is how long. When asked, we were told that IXON does not want to make an exact statement about this, because it depends too much on the circumstances, but that we should test it ourselves. With previous (non-intelligent) types, this was between 2 and 4 hours.
IXON has come up with a number of accessories for those who spend the whole day on the motorcycle: IT-BATT 1950 mAh batteries, IT-BATT 300 mAh batteries, an IT-Battery kit for connection to the battery of the motorcycle and an IT-Cigare kit for connection to the cigarette lighter incl. adapter for BMW.
The IT-series range consists of 5 types: IT-FOGO, IT-YASUR, IT-YUGA, IT-YUGA LADY and as top model the IT-KAYO. The IT-FOGO is made entirely of goat leather with Primaloft, the IT-YASUR is a lightweight leather palm glove with Primaloft Cross-core, while the YUGA and KAYO are the more luxurious variants with a Primaloft Gold Cross Core thermal liner.
In case your Primaloft Gold Cross Core doesn’t mean anything: Primaloft is a specialist in the field of insulating synthetic fibers. The Gold Cross Core material originally developed by NASA is a silica airgel that consists of 95% air and must therefore be one of the lightest and best insulating materials.
The YUGA and KAYO gloves are made of goat leather on the back, the palm and the reinforcements, the inside is Polar fleece on the back and micro fleece on the palm. The premium IT-KAYO is distinguished by neoprene on the back and IXON KNUCKLE-ADV-1 TPU protector for the knuckles and a flexible TPR slider on the side.
The IT series is available in sizes S to 3XL (XS for the FOGO), prices from € 259.
