Now visibly renewed

The Range Rover Velar has been running since 2017 and was already modernized quite heavily in 2020 on a technical level. Three years later, the car goes under the knife again. The big news: the Velar gets a renewed interior and a thoroughly improved plug-in hybrid powertrain.
The exterior changes Land Rover made to the Range Rover Velar in 2020 were minimal. The now refreshed Velar can be immediately distinguished from the pre-facelift version by the connoisseur. The Velar gets new Pixel LED headlights with a different layout than before and a different grille layout. Furthermore, the interpretation of the rear lights changes. It’s over here with the ‘checkered’ light signature. Lower back we find another rear bumper.
The biggest news on a technical level can be found with the plug-in hybrid Velar P400e. The powertrain again consists of a 300 hp 2.0 four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor of 143 hp, but there will be a larger battery. The capacity of the battery pack grows from 13.6 kWh to 19.2 kWh, with the result that the electric range increases from 53 kilometers to 64 kilometers. The system power is 404 hp and 640 Nm. This stomps the P400e in 5.4 seconds from standstill to 100 km / h. Charging is possible up to 50 kW. The Velar is also available with a 3.0 in two flavors: as a 340 hp P340 and as a P400 with 400 hp. In addition, there is a 250 hp 2.0 four-cylinder. There are two diesels on the international delivery list: the 300 hp D300 with a 3.0 six-in-line and the 204 hp D200 with four burners.

Land Rover is making significant changes to the interior. Previously, the Velar had a display integrated into the center console with a second screen below it, which you used to control the climate control, among other things. As of now, the Velar has a single 11.4-inch screen that appears to float in front of the dashboard. The second screen below it is gone. The complete center tunnel is designed differently. The whole now looks quite minimalistic. The round selector button to operate the machine has been replaced by a small selector stick. A striking change. Land Rover also introduces new colors and materials and adjusts the options list.
Information regarding the Dutch market will follow soon.
