‘2023 will be even better’

Ferrari has had another record year

The luxury and sporty brands are doing quite well. Like Lamborghini, Bentley and Rolls-Royce, Ferrari had a record year in 2022. It is the second year in a row that Ferrari has set a sales record.

Ferrari recorded a sales record in 2021 and it has also posted record results in 2022. Ferrari says this is mainly due to strong sales of the Portofino M, SF90 Stradale and 296 GTB. Global sales rose 19 percent to 13,221 cars. The Maranello brand saw sales increase in all regions, with particularly strong growth in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan (plus 73 percent).

The strong sales have a quite favorable effect on Ferrari’s finances. According to Ferrari, turnover increased by 19 percent to €5 billion. Net profit climbed 13 percent to €939 million. Last year, Ferrari made a profit of €833 million and turnover amounted to almost €4.3 billion.

CEO Benedetto Vigna says the numbers provide a foundation for an even better 2023, aided by continued high demand for Ferraris around the world. “Despite a complex global macro scenario, we look forward with great confidence,” Vigna said in a statement. Ferrari expects further growth in turnover to approximately €5.7 billion this year.
