Lamborghini Invencible

The time to say goodbye has really come: Lamborghini waves goodbye to the V12. At least, the cars in which the V12 did it all alone. The Lamborghini’s Invencible and Autentica are the last two before the baton is handed over to the Aventador’s hybrid successor.

It clearly hurts Lamborghini to say goodbye to the Aventador. After presenting the ‘very last’ Aventador for the second time in October, two more one-offs will now follow on an Aventador basis. We can’t blame the Italians, because the Aventador was the last top Lamborghini with only a V12 as its beating heart. This brings an end to a long and legendary part of the brand history. The successor to the Lamborghini Aventador will receive electrical support on board, just like the Sián, for example, already had.

The two really last Aventador derivatives are named Invencible and Autentica. The Lamborghini Invencible is the red closed variant, the Autentica’s open brother. The Invencible and Autentica are quite extravagantly designed. At the front, it is especially noticeable that there are many more lines and folds than with the Aventador. The rear of the two is even more talked-about if possible. The three hexagonal rear light units per side immediately catch the eye, as do the similarly shaped three exhaust tips that are centrally located at the bottom of the butt.

The hexagons are also reflected in the hood and in numerous places in the special interior of both cars. In the rather calm-looking interior, a lot of carbon fiber is particularly eye-catching and an infotainment screen shines through the absence. According to Lamborghini, this duo is all about the pure joy of driving and, of course, the delicious scream of the V12 behind you, with no further distractions. The well-known 6.5 V12 is located longitudinally behind the two seats and delivers 780 hp and 720 Nm, the same as in the swing-out version Aventador Ultimae.

Lamborghini emphasizes that this is the last time this base returns and it is over with this series of V12 cars. That sounds more intense than it is, because the successor to the Aventador does have a new technical basis, but as said, it will get a V12 again. The big difference is that the V12 may be a bit smaller and will receive support from one or more electric motors. The pure V12 violence definitely stops after this Invencible and Autentica.
