Castrol has launched an advanced new motorcycle engine lubricant, Act>evo, which the manufacturer claims provides continuous high-performance protection for motorcycle engines.

The new Castrol Act>evo contains Actibond molecules that bond to an engine’s internal components for continuous protection at all stages of the journey: starting, while driving and even when the engine is switched off.
The new formula, according to Castrol, provides 50% better protection against wear in motorcycle engines during starting, prevents the build-up of deposits to keep the engine optimally clean while driving and provides excellent protection against corrosion, even when the engine is switched off.
Protection during starting is compared to API SL reference oil in Sequence IVA test, protection during travel is compared to a reference oil in the engine of an air-cooled Yamaha single-cylinder motorcycle.
“Act>evo, a new addition to our existing motorcycle lubricant portfolio, is the result of detailed in-house and industry testing to develop a product that meets stringent performance criteria and provides superior engine protection.”
Castrol Act>evo 4T 10W-40 is available in 4 and 60 liter packs and is suitable for all four-stroke motorcycle engines for which API SL (and below) and/or JASO MA2 specifications are recommended.
