Do not wash at all
Aren’t you one of the hundreds of thousands of Dutch people who never wash their car? Then wait a while before you wash your car, because a layer of Sahara sand will come over it.
No fewer than 600,000 cars in the Netherlands are never washed. For all other cars and their owners, you have to be extra careful this week if there are washing plans. Sahara sand is coming from the sky again this week and that can cause nasty surprises. To the AD let weatherman Rico Schröder know that especially tonight (Wednesday on Thursday) sand can come with the rain. So you can count on a dirty car on Thursday.
It is therefore better to postpone washing the car (unless it is a hobby). If you want to get to work on it immediately on Thursday, be careful, because the sand on the car will cause you to scratch if you don’t carefully rinse the sand off first. It is better to wait until next weekend, because then, according to Schröder, it will rain again, only if it is good or without Sahara sand. The rain washes the sand off the car and then the washing can begin.
