The letter provides a new perspective on the crisis: Flyntz sees the virus as a warning to the world – but also as an opportunity. “We will help you,” says the virus in the letter.
“We will stop the supersonic high-speed carousel. We will stop the planes, trains, schools, shopping centers, meetings. The hectic, angry frenzy of illusions and ‘commitments’ that keep you from hearing our only and shared beating heart. ”
The letter commemorates the recent catastrophes

The video for the letter went viral
Kristin Flyntz published the letter on Facebook in mid-March. In the meantime, there is a video in which a spokeswoman presents the letter in a modified form in Italian. The Italian language gives the words an additional urgency – Italy is particularly badly affected by the corona virus. The clip was viewed more than 600,000 times (as of March 24th).
The real threat is not the corona virus, the text conveys. “We are not the enemy. We are ambassadors. Allies […] We ask you to stop, be quiet and listen. To move beyond individual concerns and to consider everyone’s concerns. […] Looking up at the sky, which is crossed by fewer aircraft, noticing its condition: clear, hazy, smoky, rainy? An effect of the corona crisis: better air, dolphins in ports
The measures against the Corona crisis have already brought about some changes in our environment.
