The last time Alfa Romeo released a brand new model was in 2016 when it launched the Stelvio. You can probably hardly imagine it, but Alfa Romeo says it will bring a new model on the market every year until 2026.
Alfa Romeo will finally bring a completely new model on the market next year: the Tonale. The Tonale will be an SUV that is positioned a step below the Stelvio. From 2022, Alfa Romeo will have a taste for it. According to CEO Jean-Phillipe Imperato, Alfa Romeo will launch a completely new model every year until 2026, Automotive News notes.
Alfa Romeo will only have electric cars on its menu from 2027. So don’t be surprised if Alfa unveils a whole bunch of electric newcomers after the Tonele. Alfa Romeo may get equivalents of, among others, the DS 3 Crossback and DS 4, but for now it remains speculation.
Lancia head Luca Napolitano makes an interesting statement about Lancia. Recently we wrote about Lancia that it will not only come with a new Ypsilon, but also with a new Delta. Good news in this regard: Lancia is currently only active in its home country Italy, but will in due course also set its teeth in the rest of the European market. Lancia will then be marketed as one of Stellantis’ premium brands, just like Alfa Romeo and DS. We do have to be patient, however, as the brand would not introduce three new models until around 2028.
