More and more often, a soundbar is also immediately purchased when purchasing a TV. Research shows that this is now the case with more than 1 in 4 TVs.
A good TV with good picture quality is not enough. Good sound is of course also important, in fact it is one of the most common complaints with a new TV. That is one of the reasons why more and more soundbars are being purchased. For example, the number of soundbars sold in relation to the number of TVs sold is more than 1 in 4. Beautiful TVs like The Frame also deserve a good soundbar.
For example, at Samsung the total sales value of soundbars in the Netherlands was 33.4% in 2023. [1]. Samsung is noticing a trend where, thanks to the addition of high-quality sound, TVs are transforming into true multifunctional products suitable for home cinema, gaming, music and more. Calculated in units sold, Samsung has been a leader in the field of soundbars in the Netherlands for four years. Samsung’s soundbars form a nice combination with its TVs, of which 9.65 million units were sold worldwide in 2022 alone.
Smart technology
Samsung develops audio technology at the Audio Lab California where the soundbars are tuned and optimized in anechoic chambers. The speakers and soundbars optimize their performance thanks to Q-symphony’s smart AI, and it is possible to operate both devices with just one remote control. The Active Voice Amplifier automatically adjusts the volume for optimal intelligibility. Soundbars like the HW-Q990C Cinematic Q allow users to enjoy cinematic sound at home, with a complete home theater setup including soundbar, subwoofer and rear speakers.
