Following Instagram Music, you can now also let us know what you are listening to via Snapchat. This way you can put music under your Snap in four steps.
Add Spotify to Snapchat: this is how it works
Now that Instagram users can put music under their Stories, Snapchat can’t be left behind. The chat app, which is no longer as popular as it used to be, but still has a large number of regular users, now works together with Spotify. Here’s how to add music to your Snap:
- Open the Spotify app and tap the song, album, artist or podcast you want to share;
- Choose the share menu and select ‘Snapchat’ from the list;
- Then a new Snap will open with the album cover;
- Edit this Snap to your liking and send it to friends or post it in your Story.
Obviously, you must have both apps on your iPhone to use the new feature. Likewise, friends can also let you discover new music. When you come across an interesting song, album, playlist or podcast, simply swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
You will then see the artist’s information and Spotify will be opened automatically. From here you can easily add the track or album to your own playlist. The new feature is rolling out to Snapchat users worldwide. It may take a few days before you receive the update.
